Each morning when Helene is fixing her hair in the bathroom. She applies many sticky hair products. During a typical day, she catches more bugs in her coif than most spiders manage to land in their webs in a week.

The first part is a subordinate clause fragment. This part has a subject, Helene, and a verb, is fixing, but the subordinate conjunction when keeps it from expressing a complete thought.
